We put together these recipes because they are simple, versatile, and easily woven into your daily routine. Whatever our lifestyle and ever-evolving needs, the winter months can be especially hard on our wellbeing, so read on for some ideas on how to incorporate an extra feel-good dose, either as you start your day or wind down in the evening.

Matcha Latte

Ideal for kickstarting your day, matcha is bursting with antioxidants and amino acid L-theanine, which is believed to have both a calming and energising effect on the mind.

  • Prep: 2 mins
  • Cook: 2 mins
  • Total: 4 mins
  • Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon Matcha Green Tea Powder
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1 cup of oat milk
  • Optional add-ins include a little grated nutmeg and ground cardamom, or 1 teaspoon organic coconut oil

Make a paste with the matcha by adding a little hot water. Heat the milk in a pan with the maple syrup (and any additional ingredients, such as nutmeg, cardamom, coconut oil). When warm, whisk in the matcha paste, and pour into your favourite mug.

Tip: Make sure not to boil the milk; heat gently to let the spices infuse.

Organic Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are the perfect get-up-and-go breakfast.

Organic oats are especially good for you as they are grown without the use of harmful chemicals such as glyphosate, which is sprayed on the crops to artificially ripen them. Oats are naturally very nutritious, while their high fibre content (beta-glucan) keeps you fuller for longer by slowing digestion, releasing nutrients gradually and helping to sustain natural energy levels for longer periods.

There are many extra ingredients you can add to play around with the flavour and texture of your overnight oats, such as chia seeds, yogurt, ground flax, cinnamon, and protein powder. This simple yet nourishing recipe is packed with antioxidants and vitamins, and will be sure to keep you going all morning…

  • Prep: 1 min
  • Cook: 2 mins*
  • Total: 3 mins
  • Servings: 1

Ingredients

Mix all the ingredients together (minus the bee pollen). Store in a clean, dry jar in the fridge overnight (or for at least an hour). Sprinkle over the bee pollen in the morning and you’re ready to go.

*If you prefer your oats warm, simply heat the ingredients (minus the bee pollen and elderberry syrup) in a small saucepan on the stove at low-medium heat, stirring frequently. Add your bee pollen and Organic Elderberry Syrup on top and enjoy.

Super Green Smoothie

This super-silky, super-nutritious green smoothie is perfect for those with a little more preparation time in the morning, and features our antioxidant-rich Matcha Green Tea Powder and our Beauty Oil, a food supplement formulated with omega-3 to support beautiful-looking skin, hair and nails.

  • Prep: 4 min
  • Total: 4 mins
  • Servings: 2-3

Ingredients

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 large handful spinach
  • 3 sprigs parsley (minus stalks)
  • 1/4 cucumber
  • Handful blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon of Matcha Green Tea Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Baobab Powder (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric

  • 2 teaspoons Beauty Oil

  • A generous squeeze of lemon juice

  • 400mls apple juice or water, or a combination of both

Blitz all ingredients together in a blender until smooth.

Cosy Hot Cacao

Cacao is most beneficial to our health in its raw form, as its nutrients are reduced during the process of heating and fermenting of the beans in order to make conventional chocolate. Rich in antioxidants, magnesium, iron and zinc, cacao helps to regulate the body’s energy levels while supporting the normal functioning of the immune system. This hot cacao drink, with added adaptogenic herbs, used traditionally to support the nervous system, is the perfect cosy treat to enjoy while winding down after a busy day.

  • Prep: 1 min
  • Cook: 3 mins
  • Total: 4 mins
  • Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon of Maca Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Rhodiola or Ashwagandha
  • 2 teaspoons Raw Cacao Powder
  • 300ml oat milk
  • 1-2 dessertspoons of maple syrup
  • Orange zest
  • Dash of vanilla essence (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
  • Add a dessert spoon of coconut cream for an extra-indulgent hot chocolate

Sift the dry ingredients into a small pan. Add the other ingredients (except for the orange zest) and whisk together well. Add the orange zest and as the milk gently warms, whisk until it’s silky and smooth, before serving and enjoying.
