Massage - Swedish

A Swedish massage is a classic therapeutic massage treatment that’s designed to relax the whole body by working the soft tissues and muscles through a variety of techniques. Using their hands, your therapist will use five main techniques: stroking and gliding, kneading, rubbing, tapping or pounding and vibration, all of which are designed to improve circulation, soothe muscles and make you feel more relaxed.

What to expect during your session

After an initial chat, your therapist will choose oil and / or lotion to use during your massage and will massage these into your body, paying special attention to any areas you’ve highlighted; overall your massage should be a calming experience, and promote feelings of contentment and relaxation. Your therapist will use a variety of techniques such as stroking and gliding, kneading, rubbing, tapping or pounding and vibration, with the aim to relax the entire body by relieving tension held within the muscles.

It’s not uncommon to feel sleepy after a treatment and your therapist will leave enough time for you to bring yourself back into the moment without losing the feeling of relaxation.
